 Australia

The winter season has finished in Australia as Mount Buller, Mount Baw Baw, Perisher Blue and Thredbo closed last weekend.

 New Zealand

The mercury fallen at the New Zealand resorts, and this combined with some heavy clouds has resulted in fresh snowfalls. This is great news considering we are so close to the end of the season. This weekend should see sunnier weather return to many resorts.

Cardona (60/110cm) reports 30cm of new snow landing since Tuesday and the conditions are excellent. It is cloudy on Thursday so the visibility is not perfect.

The Remarkables (70/110cm) received 20cm of new snow on Wednesday, bringing the total to 40cm of fresh snow this week. The conditions are more typical of mid-winter than the end of the season.

On the North Island a light dusting of new snow is reported at Turoa (437cm) and Whakapapa (311cm). The general conditions are still packed on the trails and variable off the trails. Strong winds on Thursday are affecting lift operations about the upper mountain areas at Whakapapa. The winds are forecast to reduce this weekend.
