Snowboarding Favourites

Introduction

Gone are the days of boarders being banned from resorts. Boarders now rank resorts according to the number of snow parks and the off piste available to them. The best resorts combine top snow parks and off piste challenges, with places to hang out with like minded people in the day and night.

In France, Alpe d'Huez and Tignes take some of the top snowboarding spots, Tignes ranks especially well with 300km of piste, 2 halfpipes and 2 terrain parks as well as some amazing off-piste.

St Anton in Austria has the added benefit of a number of steeps and trees, whilst Verbier in Switzerland is well known for its extreme terrain and huge boarding area.

North American resorts offer wide runs for carvers as well as well-maintained parks. Killington in particular offers a 12ft high, 400ft long World Class half pipe.
